A great choice when transitioning from the ring snaffle to a curb bit. The extra weight is carried by the headstall, clearly introducing poll pressure, helping teach proper head carriage. The additional weight also pre-signals the horse to rein cues allowing him to comply before the mouthpiece encourages salivation allowing the bit to move smoothly across the tongue and bars.
