Myler Stainless Steel 5″ HBT Shank, MB 47PB Correctional Ported Barrel, Level 2-3
The 47PB is a correctional mout iece, a ported mout iece that collapses on to the outer lip and bars, and rotates on to the tongue. The port is narrower than a Level 3 mout iece, but offers plenty of room for the horses tongue to pass under the bit. The angles of the port are rounded, so when the bit collapses and applies two points of pressure on the tongue, the pressure is mild. The port on this mout iece is 1 ?” high, so it will apply some palate pressure. Sweet Iron mout iece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

The 5″ HBT shank is stainless steel and slightly curved back, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mout iece has a fixed attachment. The HBT shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mout iece and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap which attaches to the purchase. The HBT shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and poll.
