The locked mouthpiece looks like a single-jointed bit but won’t fold as much. Under pressure, it locks into a straight bar for a stronger effect; with lighter contact, it works like a single joint. Made from Sweet Iron steel with its signature blue color, the bit develops a sweet-tasting surface rust that encourages salivation for better acceptance. Over time, the blue finish turns brownish-gray.
