A plant-based calcium supplement for dogs and cats, from calcareous marine algae out of the North Atlantic.
It is aimed squarely at raw and home-prepared diets. Meat is high in phosphorus and low in calcium, and getting that ratio wrong causes real skeletal problems, particularly in growing pups. A raw diet fed without bone needs a calcium source, and this is a clean one.
Also suited to growing puppies and kittens, older animals, and bitches and queens through pregnancy and lactation.
What’s in it
Marine algae (Lithothamnium sp.), naturally 33% bioavailable calcium, plus magnesium and other trace minerals. Nothing else — no gluten, sugar, soy, nuts, grains, lactose, milk, eggs or animal material, and no artificial anything.
How to feed
- Adult dogs — 1 scoop per 5kg of bodyweight daily
- Growing puppies on a home-prepared diet — 2 scoops per 5kg daily
Sprinkle over or mix through food. A level scoop gives about 225mg of natural calcium. Scoop included.
